Our staff is made up of seasoned veterans who truly care about each other and our artists - and it shows by the way we interact with our buyers.
Kevin Daly - Agent / Owner
Kevin is a graduate of the Colorado College with a degree in Arts Management. He started his first agency, Proton Productions, while in college and never looked back. At Proton, while in his twenties, Kevin ran the agency and specialized in booking major concerts at colleges throughout the United States. He produced shows with Dave Matthews, Live, The Indigo Girls, Blues Traveler, Hootie and the Blowfish, Widespread Panic, Lynyrd Skynyrd and a myriad of other top name artists. He left Proton behind to work at the prestigious Monterey Peninsula Artists & Monterey International from 1996 - 2014. While at Monterey, Kevin was the responsible agent for Cheap Trick, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Blue October, Vertical Horizon, Soul Asylum, Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, 38 Special, Fuel, Gov't Mule, Bob Schneider, Warren Haynes, Toto, Candlebox, Kevin Costner & Modern West and Chris Whitley among others.
John Lochen - Agent
John Lochen started his agent career with The Rosebud Agency in 1992, working with such legends as John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray, JJ Cale, Los Lobos, Mavis Staples & The Staple Singers, Charlie Watts, Booker T Jones, Allen Toussaint, Albert Collins and many, many others. Over the course of 20 years with Rosebud, John also played a key role in helping establish and build the early touring success of then emerging artists Ben Harper and Trombone Shorty, among others. In 2012 he joined Monterey International, subsequently joining Paradigm Talent after their acquisition of Monterey, all the while specializing in and developing successful booking partnerships with performing arts centers. John is a not too recent graduate of Western Illinois University (BA) and Columbia College (MA).
Bill Marquardt - Agent
Bill Marquardt’s first love is music. He fronted several alternative rock bands from 2009 to 2015, including Be The Young, and remains a singer-songwriter. After graduating from Madison Media Institute in 2015 with a Bachelors in Entertainment Media Business, he started his career at New Frontier Touring as an Agent’s Assistant in Nashville, TN. He then became an Agent with Ovation Artists Group, and worked on such artists as Dailey and Vincent, CeCe Winans, Jimmy Fortune of The Statler Brothers, and many others. He and his wife moved back to their home state of Wisconsin in 2019, where he joined SRO Artists. There, he worked extensively with artists like Get The Led Out, Martha Redbone, and Loudon Wainwright III, among many others. Bill is a proud father of two, and a dedicated fan of all things Wisconsin sports.
Jeff Laramie - Agent
Over four decades of leading SRO Artists, Jeff Laramie remains an active leader in the national artist touring and concert industry. A graduate of Luther College in music, Jeff served two terms on the North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents (NAPAMA) board, chaired its’ Professional Development Committee in 2016-17, and developed the curriculum for NAPAMA Agent’s Retreat. Jeff was Co-Chair of the 2013 Arts Midwest Conference and served on the Association of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) Conference Committee, Western Arts Alliance (WAA) Communications Committee, Inside Arts Advisory Committee, as well as APAP’s Arts Partners Review Panel. He’s led numerous conference educational panels and has toured and recorded with his own band for many years. Jeff still enjoys performing, snow skiing, water skiing, sailing, and river kayaking.
Hendrik Wippermann - Agent (Europe)
With a master’s degree in Culture, Communication, Management, Sociology and American Studies and a 10 years career as touring and recording artist, Hendrik Wippermann founded Eat Music in 2007. Since then Eat Music has specialized its international artist services as a modern, cutting-edge and artist-focused independent music agency. Wippermann has worked as European booking agent and artist manager for international artists and brands and has developed a strong business network giving him the competence to establish successful music careers in the highly challenged present-day music business.
Joe Bernstein - Agent
Joe Bernstein joined SRO in September 2019, following over 11 years as the Director of Operations and Education at Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras. In addition to his background in arts administration, he has spent time on the road, touring with his bands The Kissers, El Valiente, and Howler. Joe also frequently performs with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. He teaches courses in rock and jazz music history and music theory at Madison College. He earned his Master of Music degree in percussion performance from the University of Wisconsin. Outside of work, he and his wife have two sons and two terriers. In his free time, he umpires baseball, cooks Italian food, smokes meat, and collects vinyl and whisky.
Jen Chabot - Booking Coordinator
Jennifer began her career in marketing, event planning and public relations before finding her way to the music industry. First at Monterey International, and later at International Music Network. Based in Boston, Jen brings along her diverse experience making sure everything is managed and runs as smooth as possible for all involved. Jennifer graduated from the University of Massachusetts (BA) and Emerson College (MA).
Heather Rowntree - Booking Coordinator
After obtaining a BA from University of Colorado, Boulder, Heather held various positions for a number of well-respected entities in the Music business: logistics for Planet Bluegrass (Telluride Bluegrass Festival), Event Assistant for The Sunset Center in Carmel, CA, Event Coordinator for the Monterey Bay Blues Festival and as the Office Manager at Paradigm Talent Agency (Monterey location) until December 2020. She is thrilled to bring her scope of experience to Northstar Artists and join their stellar group of professionals.
Ben Lochen - Booking Coordinator
Ben grew up listening to great music. From Neil Young to Mavis Staples, Tom Waits to The Cure, his parents instilled in him a curious and passionate mind for sincere, truthful art. Upon graduating from UNC-Asheville with a BA in Mass Communication, he began working for a local non-profit as Lead Videographer and Content Creator, producing music videos for some of the communities' talented street artists and buskers. From there, he moved onto the famed Grey Eagle Music Hall in Asheville as a part-time manager helping to put on shows for up-and-coming artists as well as established touring acts. Ben also writes, records and performs his own music under his name. He's excited and honored to be a part of an incredible Northstar Artist's team.
